FAQ
Why buy direct?
All of my books are available on all major retailers (Amazon, Apple, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Google Play etc.). However, by buying direct you are supporting indie writers as the royalty is higher for the author. Throughout my self-publishing process and to further support the indie book community, I hire creatives such as editors, cover designers, and marketing professionals who are freelancers or small businesses. All translations and audiobooks are with traditional publishers and available at your favorite retailer.
When do I receive my purchase?
Instantly after payment is complete. You will receive an email with the ebook via Bookfunnel that you can directly download.
What e-reader devices are compatible with your ebooks?
My ebooks delivered by Bookfunnel work for all e-reader devices. This includes Kindles, Nooks, Kobo e-readers, and other e-readers. Bookfunnel also allows you to read your purchase directly to your favorite reading app on your phone or use the Bookfunnel app itself.
What if I have technical issues?
You may contact Bookfunnel technical support who will solve your issue. The contact details are on your receipt email.
Do you sell paperbacks and swag items (stickers, bookmarks, signature plates)?
At this moment, only ebooks are available on this website. You may find paperbacks available at your favorite retailer. Signed paperbacks and swag items are only available at in-person events.
What is your return policy?
All sales are final and may not be returned.
Are my payment details secure?
Yes. I do not collect payment details. Shopify which is one of the world's largest and most trusted e-commerce companies handles the payment process.
Are you an actual business or is this just a hobby?
Great Question! Evey Lyon is the author and owner behind the imprint Lost Compass Press which is a registered business in the Netherlands and active in the United States.
Okay, I know it's fiction but is there any chance that the small town where only professional ice hockey players live might be real? Or maybe that winery owned by brothers? Asking for a friend…
In my head it's real. But for those wondering, most of my stories have a setting in Illinois as this is where I lived during my youth. On a map, the small towns are somewhere in northwestern Illinois with cornfields nearby and the buzz of Chicago an easy drive.
